 Oh yeah - this too.

Alex and his friend Jon are starting the best thing ever. It's an audio blog with great mp3s made from obscure seven-inches. Go now and give a listen. You won't be sorry.

 This kicks ass.

First of all, I'm real sorry friends. I never realized how many of you come here and keep track of us. I'm not saying it's a whole lot of you, but what surprised me was that it was a fair number of close friends whom I haven't seen in a while. That really gets to me.

I should have realized it because I do the same thing to you. I go to your myspace pages (mine is http://www.myspace.com/lastmechanic if you're inclined), and I read your blogs fairly often. It's an easy way to feel like we still know each other. Well, we do still know each other, but we don't ever see each other. This internet thing has spawned such odd tools of relationship.

I still exist. So does Alex and for that matter so does Mike. Often we even all exist at the same time, in the same room. I'm busy coping with the latest in a long line of family problems but in the spare moments I've been reworking the manifesto, the document that secretly guides all the creative, philosophical, and political developments of Prosolar Mechanics. At least from the singer's perspective.

In the meantime, continue to consider why all corporate music peddling sucks ass. Here's a sad but good perspective on iTunes. I agree - just copy mp3s of your favorite bands from your friends and then send them a dollar in the mail - they'll get more money that way.
