When you are in orbit, what kind of music do you
listen to? What kind of music is most suitable for space travel?

| Well, Amy, actually every morning
we’re awakened by MCC who picks a specific songs out for us, but we’re
allowed to bring music up of our own. We all brought up CDs and tapes and
we lean toward, I guess, music with a space flavor to it. Yesterday we
were playing Frank Sinatra’s Fly Me to the Moon, the theme to Star Trek,
and, of course, for some strange reason, our crew’s hooked up with the
song King of the Road. So we play that a lot. We have a lot of fun with
it. We’re able to pick and choose from a wide range of CDs we bring up.
And I guess this crew’s tastes tend to be a bit eclectic, anywhere form
Aaron Copeland to Ludwig Van Beethoven to Devo up to Roger Miller. And my
commander’s doing Led Zeppelin too, so all kinds of different music.
Everything probably you listen. We’re not all that much older than you, so
we probably enjoy some of the same musical tastes.
